What is Online Marketing?
Whether it is an online marketing, internet marketing or web marketing - meaning is the same, namely the Advertising on the Internet for services or products. To better understand the strategy of online marketing, I have divided it into separate areas:
-
Banner advertising
-
Search engine marketing (SEO and PPC)
-
Email Marketing
-
Affiliate Marketing
-
Social Media Marketing
Banner Advertising
Banner advertising is one of the oldest forms of online marketing. By this is meant simply the placement of banner ads on other websites relevant to the target group. Banners, various sizes and file formats.
Search Engine Marketing
Proper way to define the search engine marketing is search engine optimization (SEO = Search Engine Optimization) and Search Engine Advertising (SEA). Under the Search Engine Advertising, for example, is also search engine marketing with Google Adwords. In this country, the search engine marketing is often used as a synonym for search engine advertising.
Email Marketing
The email marketing encompasses all marketing activities made online via emails / newsletters, making it the equivalent of direct marketing in the offline sector. Like all other areas of online marketing, the e-mail marketing is a "science of its own." There are, for example, a lot of blogs that are dedicated exclusively to the e-mail marketing.
Affiliate Marketing
In affiliate marketing, it goes in the ground so that there is a site that would like to advertise your products and services and another who wants to earn money with other websites. Affiliate marketing ultimately describes the cooperation between the two sides.
One who wants to advertise products and services, is also called Merchant and is called the Publisher advertising in the form of banners, text links, etc. are available. The publisher (= website operator to another website) is free to decide whether to appoint for advertise a product or service and therefore binds a banner or text link on your own site. As a priority, the publisher decides whether a product or service is relevant to the target group, ie for the visitors of his website useful. When arranging a lead, clicks or sales on these ads, the publisher receives a predetermined fee from the merchant.
Three main models of affiliate marketing:
-
Pay per Lead: generating a customer contact
-
Pay per Click: Generate a click - for example, to another website
-
Pay per sale: generating a sale - for example, an online store
